Evening Barbecue

A lovely late summer evening in Ellen and Tim's garden. It gets dark a little earlier now, but with a sweater or jacket on, it's still wonderful to be outside. The lighting and the set table create a cozy atmosphere. The lit Braaimaster completes the picture.

Ellen loves Italian atmospheres, and Tim knows just the right Italian dish to go with it. "Tonight we're having steak fiorentina." This will be accompanied by some delicious roasted baby potatoes with Italian herbs and some green asparagus. The potatoes have been cooking gently for a while as Tim sears the steaks on the grill just above the coals. Once the steaks have a nice color, they can be moved to the other side, where Tim has prepared an indirect zone (without coals). Now it's time for the green asparagus to go over the hot coals for a nice bite.

The timing is perfect and everything is ready to serve. Tim proudly shows off the result as he carves the meat. A perfect result, secretly aided by the Thermopen thermometer.
