Sekelbos, 12 boxes

Ons sekelbos hout – 12 dozen komt rechtstreeks uit Namibië. Sekelbos is een harde houtsoort die onder de zon is gedroogd en aanzienlijk minder vocht bevat dan Europese houtsoorten. Door dit lage vochtgehalte (<3%) produceert het hout nauwelijks rook en heeft het een langzame verbanding. Dit Zuid-Afrikaanse hout levert mooie kolen op en zorgt voor een continue hoge temperatuur tijdens het braaien. Het ziet er prachtig uit, schoon en zonder schors, en heeft een handzaam formaat. Het geeft die echte grillsmaak aan je gerechten, een must-try voor de braailiefhebber!

Sekelbos wood is packaged in 20-kg recyclable cardboard boxes and delivered on a pallet containing 12 boxes. It’s perfect if you barbecue often or want to keep a good supply on hand. Whether you want to try a single box or stock up in bulk, the wood is always available by the box or on a pallet of 4, 8, 12, 24, or 60 boxes.

Sekelbos is a dense, hardwood and must be split before use. To do this, use the kindling cracker. A safe and powerful wood splitter that makes the job quick and easy.

Sekelbos is harvested in the savannas of Namibia. Overgrowth by this bush species poses a major problem. The original grasslands dry out and become overgrown, leaving wildlife with no space to graze. By clearing the vegetation, the savanna regains its original role in the ecosystem. The animals regain their space, and harvesting provides employment for the local population. We work directly with the farmers in Namibia who are involved in these projects.
